Congrats on reaching 500! And thank you for the "welcome back" the other day. I'm enjoying finding my passion for books again which leads me onto something book related...
ReplyDeleteWell, I learned that branching out my reading interests too far from what I usually like really made reading and reviewing a dismal experience and somewhat of a chore as opposed to something I loved doing. Even when I enjoyed the books it still wasn't in the same way I would enjoy an X-Men novel or a wrestling biography...hence my disappearance from the world of blogging. Ah, therapy!! :)
+2 old follower although I'm only 36 so does that really count as an old follower?!? I consider old followers over 65! :)
CONGRATS, Karen! 500 is an amazing feat. Job well done. :) Thank you for sharing your joy with us. :) I would definitely have to say that reading the entire Hunger Games series back to back when Mockingjay was released was thrilling and emotionally draining. It's one that will stick with me! I wrote up a series synopsis because it was just so powerful. :)

ReplyDeleteA Book Obsession..
2010 has been one crazy year for book releases-- (and there's still more to come!) and most of the ones I've read/reviewed have involved urban fantasy, and I'm wonder if it's a trend that'll continue on for a long time to come.

My favorite book this year is a little different. See, it hasn't actually been released, yet (not until Nov)! It's the next book in the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan, which I have been anxiously awaiting since the last one came out almost a year ago. I guess, though, if I had to pick a favorite book SO FAR this year, I'd have to say it's Kelley Armstrong's most recent, Waking The Witch. Between the two, I've got both my favorite male and favorite female series-authors covered, so it's all good!

Woohoo, Congratulations Karen! :-D Here's to many more blog minions/fans! :-p
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great giveaway, I'd love to enter.
There were so many fantastic books I have read this year, it is hard to choose. Master of None by Sonya Bateman, Embers by Laura Bickle, Touched by an Alien by Gini Koch and the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews are the most memorable reads that come to my mind right now. Since I'm not a very patient person it is fortunate that the 2nd book in 2 of these series is coming out soon (Sparks by Laura Bickle and Alien Tango by Gini Koch)! :-)

I am really looking forward to reading The Passage by Cronin. The library hasn't got it themselves yet, so I've been on the reservations list for a while now (I think I'm first in line, though!).
My favorite book I've read so far this year is Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins. I have a bunch of books in my to-read pile, but I really want to get my hands on Demon's Covenant by Sarah Rees Brennan.

First of all, CONGRATS!!
ReplyDeleteThat is really awesome!!!
It is only during Blogfest that I discovered there's a whole book-review community online. I have always read books but never really did anything with that because I thought nobody was interested! Gosh, how wrong I was! lol
Anyways thanks so much for this opportunity.
I have read lots of books since the beginning of this year but what is my current obsession is: Finding Sky by Joss Stirling..
It is awesome and I'm sure there's going to be a second one soon!!
