In My Mailbox

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi over at The Story Siren. This week I have a bit of a mystery on my hands and I'm hoping someone can help me out.

Here's what I got:

Three copies of Call of the Wild by Jack London. So why is it a mystery? Because I neither bought or ordered these books. They were sent to me by an anonymous book fairy!

Someone had written a post on their blog asking what the first book you remember reading was. I had answered Call of the Wild. I'm sure I read books earlier than that - but I was sooo in love with animals and it was the first book I read that involved nature/animals and everything I loved. I read it over and over again but haven't read it since I was a kid.

So skip ahead.......I receive not one, not two but three copies of Call of the Wild in the mail!

The problem is I can't even remember where I read the original post! Does anyone remember reading this and can tell me what blog it was on?

Obviously this person wants to remain anonymous and that's ok - but I just hope that my THANK YOU! makes it to you! This book really meant a lot to me when I was a child and I can't wait to dive back in and read it again. Not to mention how touched I am that someone noticed my comment and went through the trouble to send these books to me.

It was an incredibly nice thing to do and I hope to be able to "pay it forward" one day soon.

Has anyone else had an experience like this? I would love to hear about it!
