Better Know a Blogger: Day - The Paperback Dolls

Day is the first of the "Dolls" to be stopping by for Better Know a Blogger. I blame her for giving me Terrible Fever. If  you don't know what that means, read Stacia Kane's Downside Ghost series & catch the fever)

What is your name/blogger name? Day (it's also what my friends & family call me in the real world)
What is the name of your blog? Paperback Dolls http://paperbackdolls.blogspot.com/

Do you have an auto-buy author, someone whose writing is so good, you have to read every single thing they write? Well...let's see...authors that are the most entertaining are ones I will continuously go to like Ilona Andrews, Charlaine Harris, Rachel Caine...they are all great. I have specific series that I am invested in that are automatic pre-orders, like Stacia Kane's Downside series and others;-)
Who is your all-time favorite couple in literature, and why? (Or favorite male/female character)
Such a difficult question. Normally I like one person in the couple far better than the other...hmmmm... This is tough. I like the couples that either reflect real dysfunction or overcome significant obstacles to be together. A dysfunctional example would be Wuthering Heights Heathcliff and Cathy...because their love was toxic. His love for her drove him to destroy so many people and she wasn't particularly worthy of such adoration from anyone...which I find interesting. In fact, she was spoiled, selfish, and her pride made their love impossible. But, I find that underneath it all Heathcliff's obsession and undying love (turned vengeful passion) is his only redeeming quality. An example of the later would be Peeta Melark and Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games Trilogy. Though I must say I prefer Peeta over Katniss.;-)
Karen - *sigh* Peeta....and yes, I prefer him over Katniss as well.
Do you have an e-reader? Do you prefer e-books or regular books, or use both? Yes. I enjoy ebooks on IPad or Kindle but in all honesty...as great as e-readers are I prefer a regular book.
What are your Top 5 picks for the best books of 2010? City of Ghost- Stacia Kane, Pandora's Bottle- Joanne Lessner, Double Cross- Carolyn Crane, Print The Legend- Craig McDonald, Raised by Wolves- Jennifer Lynn Barnes
What book or series has been sitting in your TBR the longest? Kim Harrison's Hollow series, Richelle Mead's Vampire Academy and Patricia Briggs Mercy series. I really want to read them, but never seem to get around to it;-)
Karen - I've read the first book in the Mercy series but haven't gotten any further even though I own the whole series and Moon Called was excellent. We'll have to bug each other until we both read it!
What's the best thing about blogging and reviewing books? Oh boy! Meeting new people that are as passionate about reading books as I am and finding new books and authors through the community. It's amazing. I never visited blogs prior to starting Paperback Dolls, so I had no idea how much work went into running a good blog. Noa had the idea, Kitt gave the idea vision, and I just went with it and started making things happen. I can't imagine not doing it now. ;-)

Thanks for stopping by Day! Tween reviewer for the Paperback Dolls Desilu will be tomorrow's Better Know a Blogger.
