WoW Pick

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Breaking the Spine to spotlight upcoming releases that we are eagerly anticipating.

I haven't done one of these in a long time and honestly I do not need even one more new book for the next three years....at least! But so it goes with my book addiction. I see - I want.
And this week I want Love & Leftovers - a novel in verse by Sarah Tregay.

My wish 
is to fall

When her parents split, Marcie is dragged from Idaho to a family summerhouse in New Hampshire. She leaves behind her friends, a group of freaks and geeks called the Leftovers, including her emo-rocker boyfriend, and her father.

But understanding love, especially when you've watched your parents' affections end, is elusive. What does it feel like, really? can you even know it until you've lost it? 

Love and Leftovers is a beautifully written story of one girl’s journey navigating family, friends, and love, and a compelling and sexy read that teens will gobble up whole.

 Sounds super cute - love the cover! I just don't love that we have to wait until January 2012 to read it.

    Love the cover! I'd like to find some more books that are written in verse, going to have to check this one out.

    I loved that small verse before the blurb. So it's written verse? I haven't tried one of those books out yet, but I think I'll give this one a shot. It looks super cute :)

    LMAO, Karen! I feel the same. I don't need any new books for the next five years but that doesn't stop me from craving more. It's an addiction, I tell you.

    I've been wanting to try a book in verse, so maybe this is as good a place to start as any. Nice pick!
