Give a big, warm welcome to Becky - my featured Better Know A Blogger for today!
Introduce yourself! Hello, my name is Becky and i am a nineteen year old university student obsessed with books!! I have been reading for as long as i can remember and have always loved staying inside to read better than going out to play.
What is the name of your blog? How did you pick your blog’s name? The name of my book reviewing blog is Book Bite Reviews. The way i picked my name was i made a list of all the things that represented my blog, since i mostly read YA Paranormal "bites" was in that list. I just started matching up words to try and come up with something catchy and fun. I had it down to two names, book bite reviews and dead reviews. I couldn't decide and went on chacha.com to ask. They told me book bite reviews and thats how it was born. Im glad i went with book bite reviews becase i love it so much.
How long have you been blogging? I have been blogging since May, so about 3 months.
How do you measure blogging success? Is it strictly number of followers or something more? I judge my blogging success by not only the number of followers i have, but also by how many comments and views i get on a blog post. If no one commented on it or i didn't get a lot of pageviwes on it, then i rate that as a failure post and try to improve for next time.
What genres/subgenres do you review, and what do you like best about those genres? Overall i read YA (young adult) but i mostly read YA Paranormal. If its YA Paranormal i'll usually definitely give it a shot, but i also really like some classic YA's. I have also recently gotten into YA Steampunk. It intrigues me so much and i'm also going to give horror a try.
What are you reading right now? Right now im reading "nightlight" by The Harvard Lampoon. Its a twilight parody, and so far its pretty funny.
Do you use social media to promote your blog or discuss reading/blogging? I use Twitter and Goodreads to promote and then i also just post my reviews on some livejournal communities and on amazon.
Where is your favorite place to read? That would have to be all cozy in my bed or in a hammock on a nice day
What are your ideal reading conditions? Late at night when the entire house is asleep and you can hear a pin drop. That way i have no distractions from people or twitter or anything and can just get lost in my own imagination.
Karen: I find that Twitter is my number one reading distraction. When I hear the bird chirp, I can't control my urge to read that tweet!
What are the top 5 books in your TBR (To Be read) pile?
What are the top 5 books in your TBR (To Be read) pile?
In no particular order would be
-Hourglass by Myra McEntire
-The girl in the Steel Corset By Kady Cross
-The Unbecoming of Myra Dyer by Michelle Hodkin (dont own yet)
-Vampire Academy by Rachel Mead
-Miss Peregrines Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs (don't own yet)
Karen: Hourglass seems to be on a lot of Better Know A Blogger lists which makes me very happy since I loved it.
Obligatory controversial question: Love triangles! Love ‘em or hate ‘em, and why? I have a love hate relationship with them. I like them, because i like having more choices in guys and i like being on a team (Team Edward Team Jacob) I hate them, because i dont like when the other guy gets hurt, because eventually someone loses and also i believe in faithfulness and i don't think its ok when a girl has feelings for a guy when she is already with someone. If you are unsure and have to choose, then you should just break up with the first guy, because thats not fair to him and now he will constantly worry if you are faithful or not.

What has been the best thing about blogging and reviewing books? That would have to be the friends that i have made with the other bloggers and knowing that my opinion matter to someone. I LOVE when people comment on my posts, because it proves that someone is listening.
Thanks Becky!
