Happy TGIF!


TGIF is a weekly feature hosted by GReads! to re-cap the week's posts & to propose a question for followers.

Q: To-Be-Read's: How big is your pile? Which book keeps getting pushed down the stack, but you keep meaning to read it?
My physical, in my house, TBR pile is well over a 100 books and @ another 20-30 on the Kindle. Most of the blame lands with BEA. I still have a few books from BEA 2010 and then I brought home another 90-ish from BEA 2011. I always vow not to buy any new books after I get back but then there are always those books that weren't at BEA that I MUST have....lol
They all get pushed down the stack....every time I get a new book! It freaks me out!

    I always vow I won't buy more books either. Not because of BEA, but just because I'm running out of room. But, of course, I never hold to my vow. In fact, I'll be buying two more books next week.

    That sounds like a strange halfway point between wonderful and maddening. I'd love to have all those books ready, but I'd hate feeling as though I couldn't possibly read all them. It must be so hard to choose a new book to read!

    Sometimes I freak out when I'm sent some extra book I didn't request. It's like having a spare relative show up for Thanksgiving, and then you have to find them a place to sleep and feed them enough cranberry dressing to keep them happy...

    No, actually, it's nothing like that. Because I would never fill a book with cranberry dressing. Unless it angered me.

    OMG I understand the freaking out about piles of books. I have books all over my closet and I went through them and still have too many.

    Yes I have a hidden pile of books from my DH and I have pictures of my books. I give them away and books are still coming to the house whether I asked for them or requested them .

    I am hoping to go to BEA next summer which means I should probably try and read the 140-ish books in my possession right now, right? Don't let buying books freak you out, just think of it as you offering up a nice home to a book in need ;)
