Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Breaking the Spine to spotlight upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
Enchanted by Alethea Kontis
Harcourt Children’s Books
Release date: May 8, 2012
Pre-order on Amazon: Enchanted
When Sunday meets an enchanted frog who asks about her stories, the two become friends. Soon that friendship deepens into something magical. One night Sunday kisses her frog goodbye and leaves, not realizing that her love has transformed him back into Rumbold, the crown prince of Arilland—and a man Sunday’s family despises.
The prince returns to his castle, intent on making Sunday fall in love with him as the man he is, not the frog he was. But Sunday is not so easy to woo. How can she feel such a strange, strong attraction for this prince she barely knows? And what twisted secrets lie hidden in his past - and hers? ~ goodreads
This fairy tale retelling sounds particularly whimsical & romantic to me. Even though I’m not sure how you stop picturing the swoony prince as a frog lol
What books are you waiting for?
this cover reminds me of Falling Under by Gwen Hayes (I think that's how you spell her name... or if that even *is* her name.) but this one sounds really, really good, and I love the name Sunday! Can't wait to read this one. :D

Cute! I want to read it
ReplyDeleteI seem to shy away from fairy tale retellings...I think they either flop or are pretty awesome. I'm going to try and read a few retelling for Fairy Tale Fortnight. But YES! I do want to read this one :)
