AAD Author Spotlight: Megan Grooms

Please join me in welcoming author Megan Grooms to the blog today as part of my Authors After Dark Spotlight series.

Karen: Describe yourself Twitter style - 140 characters. (feel free to use Twitlonger :-) )
Megan: Well I am a Marine wife, I work at an animal hospital and I just had my first child in January.


K: Use the same format to describe your writing or your latest book.
M:The last book I put out was a short story called Halloween Maddness, with werewolves. I'm thinking about making a book with the characters from that book, there was a lot of stuff that could still go on with them.

K: Do you have any superstitions or rituals that you follow before writing?
M: I have to be in a good mood to write. When I'm annoyed or upset I seem to just stare at the screen not able to focus. I also have to have it quite or  I will get distracted.

K: Do you have a favorite snack that you need to have around?
M: Not really, I do like to have a glass of water close at hand however.

K: What are you most looking forward to at AAD in August?
M: I'm looking forward to meeting new people and some of the authors that I have been fans of for a while that will be there this year.

K: Is there a book you've recently read that you would tell everyone to go out and buy right NOW!
M: I haven't had time to read recently but I am looking forward to the new book by Jeaniene Frost Once Burned. I'll have to make time to read that one, I love Vlad the main guy in this book.
