It’s cover edition month so here are a few of my picks…
Ed Sheeran feat. Passenger – NO DIGGITY (original artist Blackstreet)
As much as I love, love, love Ed, it’s Passenger (who is flipping AMAZING live btw) that makes this cover work so well.
30 Second to Mars – STAY (original artist Rihanna)
I still think I like Rhianna’s version better but this is a nice take on a beautiful song.
Kodaline – SAME LOVE (original artist Macklemore) Performed at the BBC 1 Live Lounge

LOVE that cover!! It's fantastic and now I'm going to go research all of Ed Sheeran & Passenger's stuff.
ReplyDeleteI love both of them! I've seen them both in concert and I think they are so much better live - if you can find their acoustic videos I think those are better than the recorded stuff. (IMO anyway)

ReplyDeleteI don't think I can even pick a favorite of these! The first one is so awesome because honestly, No Diggity is the last thing I would think of Ed & Passenger singing. Also, 30 Seconds To Mars cover almost reminds me of an 80's Rock Ballad in a way (strange I know, but I couldn't figure out how else to say it. Also, I adore Kodaline's version of that song although I think I would like just about any version of that song. Thanks for sharing :)

ReplyDeleteI have seen the No Diggity cover. Love it. Ed and Passenger are amazing. Seen them both live :) Mmmm Jared Leto :D I too like the version Rihanna sings as well but Jared has a sex voice.
