Stacking The Shelves – hosted by Tynga’s Reviews, is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

I haven’t done one of these posts in a long time so there are a lot of books. Unfortunately – I haven’t been in the mood to read (What’s happening to me??!! HELP!) so the pile is starting to stress me out. I can usually read one book a day.
I’m hoping by posting this pile it will motivate me to get reading.

Great books this week :)
ReplyDeleteI know about the lack of motivation, Karen! Lately I was feeling like I'm not reading anything apart from review books, so I made a new rule of not requesting a new book until I have my review pile cleared out. It seems to help :) You have loads of great reads in this haul. I am very curious about The Lost and Dorothy Must Die. Enjoy all!
ReplyDeleteAbout half of those are books that I got 6 months ago and I put off reading them until release time and now I have other books…lol
DeleteI have tried to stick to a 2 review book minimum and for the most part I've stuck to it. But when I don't read at all it still spirals out of control.
I have a free Kindle sample of Dorothy Must Die, and although I was enjoying the sample, I've heard some mixed reviews on this one. It has gotten a lot of hype over the unique and startling premise, but some people think it failed to deliver.
ReplyDeleteWho am I kidding? I will probably buy the whole book later this weekend, reviews not withstanding. I may or may not like or finish it, but usually, if I enjoy the sample, I will go ahead and take a risk on the book.
I'm struggling with Dorothy Must Die. I'm on page 100 and I love some things but others leave me very frustrated.
DeleteI really want to read Plus One and Ring of the Crown. :) The seem like books that I could love! Great haul - enjoy your books and have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Ring of the Crown has a gorgeous cover. It's not my typical type of read (it came unsolicited) but sounds fun.
DeleteI do want to read Dorothy Must Die. I'm sure it's quite odd, but I think I'd like it!! I really like the sound of Lost as well! Hopefully you'll get back into the reading groove soon. sometimes it just takes a bit of off-time. And you can read one book a day? oh, how I wish I could!
ReplyDeleteI love this version of Oz - I'm not quite as sold on Amy - the girl who comes to save it.
DeleteI read really fast but I can't seem to hit my reading groove right now lol
I'm in the middle of "Shadow Spell" and it is really good so far. Happy reading!

I am super jealous about Jenny Han's book and can't wait to hear what you think about it. Plus One also sounds super good!
ReplyDeleteHappy reading and have a great weekend!
That cover is so gorgeous! And even prettier in person.
DeleteI have to read Dorthy Must Die if for only because I hated The Wizard of Oz. Happy Reading!

I didn't like it either! I'm loving this twisted version of Oz but overall I'm struggling with the writing.
DeleteI totally get that lack of desire to read but have many books. Those all look great including Plus one :) I loved that one hard and Tease was good too :)
ReplyDeleteI'll get to it! I promise lol
DeleteSounds like a good haul. I'm having trouble keeping up with my stack, too...
ReplyDeleteMy StS.
Blogger problems lol
DeleteI actually bought Dorothy must die this week. You got some interesting stuff for review. I hope you enjoy all your new goodies.
ReplyDeleteGrace
Uhh you have Ring of the Crown, I like the sound of that one, need to know if you approve. (The cover is gorgeous).
ReplyDeleteSame with To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before! I've my eye on that one since I saw all the ARC's everywhere. And Tease, yay! Hope you like them all.
RoC isn't my normal kind of read but the cover is so pretty. I'll let you know what I think.
DeleteAnd damn it! Please move to the US so I can send these books to you cheaply! lol
Lol I know! Believe you me, with the week I'm having I'd be there in a heart beat! :( So we can read and tell each other stories and live in Neverland haha. Love you!
DeleteLove the actual photo of the pile. We should all do this!
ReplyDeleteI thought Ring and Crown was pretty fun and it might get you out of your slump. Very fast-paced.
And you can never go wrong with some Nora Roberts :)
Jen @ YA Romantics
For some reason they photograph well on that particular shelf so it's easier lol
DeleteI'm not really in a slump - more scattered brain with no attention span. I keep getting distracted easily….squirrel!
I totally get that with books lately ...I seem to saying squirrel too :) lol
DeleteAhh! Lots of awesome books :D I really, really loved Plus One. <3 I hope you will love all of these books :) Happy reading. <3
ReplyDeleteGreat book haul this week. Have fun reading!

I have Plus One as well, and I can't wait to read Dorothy Must Die. I hope you feel up to reading soon, I've been in a similar slouch myself. New GFC follower. My STS
ReplyDeleteGreat Haul!! I have several of these books on my TBR list. I am actually getting ready to start reading This Side of Salvation. I've loved all of Jeri Smith-Ready's books that I have read, so I have been looking forward to reading that one.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my STS!!
Yay for Dorothy Must Die! I'd like to read Plus One as well, though I've heard a lot of mixed things about it! And The Ring and the Crown?! Ohhh, isn't the cover just so gorgeous?! My StS!
ReplyDeleteI just finished DMD and was a little disappointed. Oh well - hopefully I'll have better luck with Plus One.
DeleteWow...what great books! I can't wait to read Shadow Spell:)
ReplyDeleteAmazing haul! So many books that I am dying to read myself, especially To All The Boys I've Loved Before. I hope you enjoy your books :) My STS.

So jealous you have a copy of To All The Boys I've Loved Before! I pre-ordered that so I'm waiting by y post box for a copy.
ReplyDeleteI'm Stacking My Shelves with books you might not have heard of...
Sorry to hear you've been in a reading slump! Hopefully you can break out of it soon. I've been hearing great things about Since You've Been Gone!
ReplyDeleteLost and Plus One sounds good, hope you enjoy! Hope they break you out of slump those are the worst
ReplyDeleteI'm curious about dorothy must die, but i have to admit the title really turns me off.
ReplyDeleteI understand being in a reading slump. I've been in a bit of one, but I re-read the Daughter of Smoke & Bones series in preparation for the final book, and that seemed to help. :) Great haul you've got there...I loved Plus One and I'm very excited for Since You've Been Gone and The Lost.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you're not in the mood for reading right now, I hope your enthusiasm returns. Since You've Been Gone sounds fantastic :)

I finished The Ring and the Crown recently. I know what you mean by sometimes you just don't feel like reading. Even going a few days without reading can set you back on your reading pile. Sometimes I wander how healthy book blogging is for us LOL
ReplyDeleteIsn't that the truth??!!
