alt-J – Hunger of the Pine
I loved alt-J's first album – An Awesome Wave. They have a new album coming out soon (This is All Yours) & this is the first track. Can’t wait for this one!

Love these next three songs…great summer driving music!
Young Rising Sons – High
Knox Hamilton – Work it Out
Vance Joy – Riptide
Happy Tuesday everyone!!
Love all of these! I'm really excited for Alt-J's new album. I bought First Aid Kit's new album the other day. I'm enjoying it a lot. I also bought Broken Bells' 2013 album recently. I really like that one.
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of First Aid Kit. Must look it up.
DeleteI've come to love alt-J after a rocky start.
There you go with the awesomeness in music form again. Really like all of them. LOVE Young Rising Sons ;)
ReplyDeleteI had a hard time narrowing it down this week. Too many good songs!
DeleteI've never heard of any of these but I think I liked the beat of Work It Out best. The voice of the lead singer was sooo unexpected though. I was expecting something more raspy. Interesting choices.
ReplyDeleteSometimes the singers/band look NOTHING like what I imagined. That happened to me recently when I saw the 1975 in concert. It bought they were middle aged hipsters -t urns out he's this young, strutting sexy guy lol
DeleteYou know one of the reasons I love you? Because you always help a girl out with band names lol I suck, badly!! I've heard Vance Joy - Riptide but for the life of me, couldn't find out the title/artist. So, a big fat thank you!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I really liked Young Rising Sons, at least that song hehe.
Bahahahahaha! That's so funny because I knew I wanted that song for this week but I couldn't remember it either!!! I just remembered the line "I love you" - no beat - no tune to go with it - just that line. I had to google the crap out of it.
DeleteI search so you don't have to lol
I've yet to get into alt-J - thinking I need to change that! And yeah, great songs for a summer road trip! Thanks for the recs.
ReplyDeleteI hated alt-J at first then all of a sudden I was obsessed lol
DeleteAwesome music :D
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteWhere are you finding these music? I feel like ive been reading under a rock!
ReplyDeleteI find most of my music on Sirius AltNation, Palladia (an awesome HD music channel on Dish - they show all the big summer festival concerts & acoustic specials), Spotify and my hubby.
DeleteHadn't heard of alt-J before, but that voice!! Love it
ReplyDeleteWoot! New songs for my iPod (yes, I still have one. Haven't gone all phone yet!) Love alt-J's lead singer's raspy voice and what fun driving songs!
ReplyDeleteI was excited to hear the new alt-J song on the July BIRP list. Love it already. Vance Joy is still a fave; looking forward to hearing what comes next from him. The others were great too. As always, great picks :)
ReplyDeleteI loved the trailers
