Fleeing the spotlight, burnt-out indie rock star Zeina—“Belle”—Dubois seeks refuge in the south of France. That old, half-forgotten stone house and rose-covered acres her father left her in a valley of roses seems like a good place to soothe a wounded heart. She certainly doesn’t expect the most dangerous threat to her heart to pounce on her as soon as she sets foot on the land.
He wants them back.
Matt didn’t mean to growl at her quite that loud. But—his roses! She can’t have his roses. Even if she does have all those curls and green eyes and, and, and…what was he growling about again?
Or maybe he just wants her.
When an enemy invades his valley and threatens his home, heart, and livelihood, Matthieu Rosier really knows only one way to defend himself.
It might involve kissing.
And that might be just the start.

Sounds good :)
ReplyDeleteI've had The Chocolate Thief on my watchlist since last year, b/c it was voted one of the best romances of the year or something, but I hadn't heard much about it, so good to know that you LOVE it.
ReplyDeleteThat's the only one I haven't read yet. My favorite is The Chocolate Kiss and her novellas are really heart wrenching good.
DeleteAw, this sounds so cute and sweet and kissing!
ReplyDeleteShe writes really good alpha guys who are not assholes.
DeleteNew to me but sounds interesting and I like the cover-- I hope you're able to read it soon. Happy hump day!
ReplyDeleteThis one is new to me. Sounds interesting even if not something I'd probably read. I hope you enjoy it though!
ReplyDeleteMy WoW
awww! is this a beauty and the beast retelling?? all the roses and growling-haha!
ReplyDeleteI think you would like her books Carrie. The guys are big and growly - but real softies on the inside.
DeleteOh-la-la! What a hottie *wink wink* I must read one of her many books.
ReplyDeleteI really need to read this author!
ReplyDeleteI'm waiting for this one too! Did you hear Laura had to push back the release date?
ReplyDeleteI did. Laura has been like a writing machine this past year! Waiting to fall ( or later) doesn't seem so bad.
DeleteI'd read this for the setting, sounds like a wonderful escape.
ReplyDeleteAll her books are gorgeous when it comes to the setting. She's so descriptive - you feel like you're there - or want to hop on a plane!
DeleteThis sounds so cute and what a great setting! I want to read it just to visit France!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing about her writing is her descriptions of France and food. This is going to be a good one!
DeleteYes! After meeting Matthew in The Chocolate Rose, I cannot wait to read this!
