Dylan fights for lost causes. Probably because she used to be one.
Environmental issues, civil rights, corrupt corporations, and politicians you name it, she s probably been involved in a protest. When her latest cause lands her in jail overnight, she meets Silas Moore. He s in for a different kind of fighting. And though he’s arrogant and infuriating, she can t help being fascinated with him. Yet another lost cause.
Football and trouble are the only things that have ever come naturally to Silas. And it’s trouble that lands him in a cell next to do-gooder Dylan. He’s met girls like her before fixers, he calls them, desperate to heal the damage and make him into their ideal boyfriend. But he doesn’t think he’s broken, and he definitely doesn’t need a girlfriend trying to change him. Until, that is, his anger issues and rash decisions threaten the only thing he really cares about: his spot on the Rusk University football team. Dylan might just be the perfect girl to help.
Because Silas Moore needs some fixing after all.

I loved All Lined Up (Rusk University #1) by Carmack (my Speed Date review). We met Silas in that book and let’s just say he is going to be a tough hero to redeem. There are bad boys and there’s Silas. He was a total jerk. Carmack usually writes really nice guys so I’m interested to see how she is going to knock bad boy Silas on his ass and make him work for it – winning over his do-gooder heroine – Dylan.
Sounds good :)
ReplyDeleteThis probably isn't really my thing since I try to steer clear of contemporary novels, but it does sound like a pretty good read. I hope you love it :) Thanks for sharing!

DeleteSilas sounds quite interesting. I haven't read the first one, but I do hope you enjoy this one since the first was so good for you.
ReplyDeleteHe's really not the type of guy I like reading about but Cormack has written several books that I've loved so I'm hoping...
DeleteNot my usual kind of read, but I'm always hearing great things about Cora Carmack! It's interesting that you say her guys are usually really nice, not what I'm used to when it comes to this genre.
