This is really a pile from September that I didn’t get to. Reader fail. Although I did get through or DNF’d 8 of that original pile. I’ll give these remaining books another shot this month!
These are a few scragglers that I bought or were given to me that I would like to finish.
Overall I’m averaging about 15+ books per month (19 for September & 145 total for the year so far). I read a book a day for several days then take a week off and watch tv or get out in the garden. That seems to be really working for me. No more reading slump!

Ah, yes, the garden :). It sounds like the juxtaposition of your two favourite hobbies does wonder. How's the bunny? :)
Also, good luck with your remodeling. Are you going to put on a new banner?
They both look really interesting and different.
DeleteI haven't seen the bunny in a long time but my turtle was out and about yesterday. He's still terrified of me. lol
Speaking of new banner….look up. Obviously temporary for October but I'm working on a permanent one. I couldn't' come up with anything I liked and then I was too busy.
LOL! I love it!
DeleteThat is not bad at all reading-wise. I LOVED Cara McKenna's Lay it Down. So excited for the next one. I have Virgin on my carry over list too. Good luck with the Oct reading!
ReplyDeleteI love McKenna! I hear this one is relatively tame for her lol
DeleteI'm not sure if you check my replies - but I wanted to tell you I visit your blog but can't comment because you don't have the Disque guest option turned on. I had singed up but I always have a hard time signing in with them unless it's as a guest. Just wanted to let you know that I do read your blog ;-))
Good for you. I am trying to keep December free of arcs so I can read all the books I bought..hahaha! Well at least finish trilogies etc.
ReplyDeleteThe only arc's I have are BEA arc's and while I want to get them read and reviewed, I don't feel the same pressure.
DeleteYay, I am glad it works and fingers crossed for no more reading slumps
ReplyDeleteMe too. There have been a few duds of course but overall reading has been fun again.
DeleteWahoo, no required readings for the month, enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteI hope all your books live up to your expectations!
Amber Elise @Du Livre
I had a October review books but I read them last month so i'm all caught up and haven't requested anything else. My reading world is wide open with possibilities! lol
DeleteGlory O'Brien intrigues me, and I like your resolution of reading and then taking a break. Hope you enjoy all your books this month, Karen!
ReplyDeleteIt works for me. I read fast so I cram a lot in for the week and just before I burn out I take that week break. Then I'm dying to read again!
DeleteWhoa 15 books per week!! Awesome!!! I guess I have been taking days off too from reading. I think a sept. pile with that few leftovers looks pretty good!!
ReplyDeletePer month! Although I do read about 7 a week.
DeleteLies we tell ourselves was awesome and I loved Black Ice ( stand alones) Yeah I have my piles I am working on too. Yeah for enjoying reading and the Garden :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a little afraid of Black Ice but I'm looking forward to Lies We tell Ourselves.
DeleteI did so good with my BEA books the first two months, but I'm behind again. I really need to stop doing the arc tours... It's not like I don't have hundreds (and hundreds) of books already sitting on my tbr shelves.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to A.S. King's book, and Black Ice, since it'll be my first book by Becca Fitzpatrick. The only book I've read in your pile is Sway, which I liked despite the fact that main character is kind of a jerk. ;)
I'm doing good with the BEA this year but September was a killer month. Almost half of what I got came out then.
DeleteIt's my first BF book too so we'll see….
I'd say you did pretty good! Black Ice is soon to be on my list! Love Becca Fitzpatrick, she's never disappointed me, although this is a bit different then what she usually writes.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
Yay for the no reading slump! Jealous you got Black Ice, I hope it won't disappoint you!
ReplyDeleteIt's actually pretty good! I'm kind of surprised lol
DeleteSway looks good and have a good upcoming week.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm starting that next.
DeleteSounds like a good reading plan. I'm trying not to accept too many books for review either, but I'm in a children's lit class right now so a lot of reading (MG books...) for that class.
ReplyDeleteYeah - it was getting to feel too much like homework or a job that I resented. MG is usually fun so I hope you don't get too overwhelmed.
DeleteFirst off, love the Halloween-y theme!
ReplyDeleteI thought Sway was interesting and since you've been an against-the-trend reader lately, I'd give it a shot. I'll Give You the Sun was amazing -- but takes some time and attention so you could put it aside for a time you're ready to dig in!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Jen @ YA Romantics
Thank you!
DeleteI think I'll try Sway next. I have been putting off Give You the Sun for that very reason. Plus I'm not ready to cry and her books make me cry. lol
There seems to be quite a few great sounding books in that pile! Tape sounds especially interesting. Happy Reading and good luck getting through them all.
