I took the plunge and joined Influenster this month. If you’re not familiar with them, Influenster sends targeted products, free of charge, to members who engage with social media for exchange for sharing on social media and review. You can read more about how it works here.
I received my first “Campaign” this month and apparently Figment is the one who got to test and play with something new instead of me.
He received the Temptations Snacky Mouse toy ($6 retail), a sample size (.42 oz) & full size (3 oz) bag of Whiskas Temptations treats – chicken flavor.
The test:
* I received this product complimentary to test and/or review.
It took him a couple of minutes to get the hang of his Snacky Mouse. He’s on a prescription diet so I couldn’t use the included treats but his food fit easily through the 3 – approximately 1/2 inch circles in the mouse.
The mouse wobbles around when batted and knocks out 1-2 pieces at a time. They suggest not putting more than 10 –12 pieces daily so as not to alter your pets diet. Since I was using Figment’s regular food, I used the toy as a meal dispenser and added more.
He really enjoyed it once he figured it out and now I add a few pieces and give it to him when go out as a distraction.
As for the treats, he REALLY wanted to get in that bag, but he can’t veer of his RX diet so those went to my neighbor cat who loved them. They’re crunchy on the outside – soft on the inside and very tiny (see pic).
So my first Influenster VoxBox was a big success. Maybe next time I’ll get something I can use. lol
Happy it worked and your cat liked it. I might get it for my cat.
ReplyDeleteHe loves it - once he realized it wasn't trying to kill him lol
DeleteI am glad they worked for him :)
ReplyDeleteHe doesn't usually play with toys so I'm glad he finally found something he enjoys playing with.
DeleteLOL, most original review ever! I hope you'll get something for yourself next time.
ReplyDeleteI feel so neglected lol
DeleteBut if Figment is happy - I'm happy (& can read without interruption!)
This was hilarious!! Glad you put that lazy cat to work generating some blog content!!
ReplyDeleteIf only Figment understood HTML and formatting….
DeleteThat's great he really liked the toy once he got the hang of it. And I hope you get something for YOU next time too. ;)
ReplyDeleteAww poor Figment was afraid! That sounds really cute, I'm afraid my cats would just want to kill it though. Constantly.
ReplyDeleteThe Herd got this box too. They'll be busting it open tomorrow I think :) He's such a cutie!
ReplyDeleteLOL! A snacky mouse! I love it. My pups would love to get a treat like this in the mail. Might have to check out this thing of which you speak.
ReplyDeleteOh fun! I need to recommend it to my kitty peeps. I've been hoping I get a doggie box. I also have one that is on a special diet, but another who isn't (but she is picky!). I need to finish my voxbox review. O.o
ReplyDeleteThis was such a funny post. Poor kitty...they never do anything we want them to do!
ReplyDeleteawwww poor guy was afraid of the mouse!!!! awww!!
ReplyDeleteHow's the Snacky Mouse holding up and maintaining his interest? I've been looking for something similar since my Oscar is getting so lazy. She just doesn't play much since our older cat died :(
ReplyDeleteHe still likes it. He's getting faster at emptying it though so it doesn't last long.
DeleteThere are little tabs (when you attach the top to the bottom after filling) that I started centering with the dispensing holes so that it's harder for him and that seems to be working.
The other toy he likes is this Play & Squeak Mouse Hunter http://playnsqueak.com/products_mouse.html
and we use a laser pointer for him to chase but he'd rather stare, stalk and twitch than run lol
And I'm so sorry to hear about your cat Erin :-(
