September TBR pile...
Here's what I *hope* to get read and reviewed for the month. I'm doing really well with my BEA books this year and I'm being very picky about accepting review books - only 2 at a time - no more until I read and review - then I'm allowed to request again. HUGE burden lifted! I don't feel swamped or pressured anymore.
Amazon Vine:
Placebo Junkies is an October release but needs to be reviewed within 30 days so I need to read it this month.
BEA Books:
Dumplin', Tonight the Streets Are Ours, Everything Everything, Mr. Puffball, I Crawl Through It and Zeroes
For Review:What Lola Wants – Hachette
The Taming of Malcom Grant (The MacGregors: Highland Heirs #4) by Paula Quinn - Hachette
I’m looking forward to Tonight the Streets Our Are Own the most – I loved Sales debut, This Song Will Change Your Life. I’ll probably read Everything, Everything first since it’s out now & has great reviews. Why do I even have Mr. Puffball??? O_O lol and Zeroes is pretty big – I get intimidated by big books so I’m betting that’s the one, if any, that will fall through the cracks this month.
*Psst - I also have a great (international) giveaway going on for the month – The September Pick Your Book Giveaway
What’s on your TBR this month?

ReplyDeleteI'm sure that's going to happen to me too but at least they're cleared out either way!
DeleteI haven't actually read any of these, but I've heard wonderful things about Dumplin' and Everything, everything. I have both and I'll be reading them really soon. Happy reading, Karen!
ReplyDeleteI've read Everything, Everything already and I (mostly) liked it a lot.
DeleteI loved Dumplin' except for the romance. I may try Zeroes -- let me know when you're reading that one!
ReplyDeleteJen @ YA Romantics
I just read your review for Dumplin. *frowny face* I'm going to angry aren't I? lol
DeleteMaybe we can read Zeroes together. I get so impatient with longer books.
I can help you with Zeroes - don't be shy, just ask ;P.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to hear your thoughts on it and ICTI.
If you were closer you could have ALL the books!
DeleteMuch closer LOL. *sends hug*
DeleteZeroes does look pretty chunky. :) I'm planning to mood read this month if I can manage.
ReplyDeleteI start drifting off with longer books lol
DeleteLuckily, I read really fast so I've already gotten through 3 so far and manage to get in *fun* books as well.
This month and November just happen to be heavy BEA book months.
I've read so many positive things about Dumplin' and Everything Everything :) Hope you enjoy your reads. Have a great September!

I liked Everything, Everything. I have a review coming up on the 18th.
DeleteI hope you love Dumplin'!!!
ReplyDeleteKate @ Ex Libris
Me too!
DeleteGreat idea, Karen, I really need to set a limit for myself but I just keep seeing pretty new books and have to read em.. Such a problem! I hope you love Dumplin', I really want to read it too :)
ReplyDeleteSarah @ One Curvy Blogger
This method only works for me for so long then I start rebelling lol "I don't want read what I have to read!! STOMPS FOOT"
DeleteBut I really, really, really want to stay on track with my BEA books this year.
I think I've only read Everything, Everything. I hope you find them all good reads. I keep adding to my tbr review list!
ReplyDeleteOh, can I haz that gargole? I love it! :)
I liked Everything, Everything more than you did but I did have a few issues with it.
DeleteI love my gargoyle's! I have bookends too and a few in the yard.
I love how you've only allowed yourself 2 review books at a time:) I'm trying very hard to limit myself as well...I've not been quite as successful as you!
ReplyDeleteThat's been working really well for me. I feel less pressure but still allow myself a few treats.
DeleteI'm sure you'll meet your target. And what IS Mr. Puffball?
ReplyDeleteI have NO idea why I have that book but it's about a cat who goes to Hollywood because he dreams of becoming an actor lol
DeleteEverything, everything does sound good, hope you enjoy
ReplyDeleteI think you would like it Brandi.
Deletewhat's on my kindle and other books -- I loved Dumplin :) I didn't like her other book but this I LOVED. Also school stuff and work stuff :) Enjoy the books
ReplyDeleteI didn't know she had another book. I'm reading Dumplin this week I think.
DeleteYou have to keep me posted on whether or not you like it. I didn't like her side effects books , but this one I loved.
DeleteThat sounds very manageable! I've never even heard of a lot of these books. Which is good. I'm trying not to hoard. Good job on limiting yourself on the review books as well. I love not reviewing requests!
ReplyDeleteMost of them are BEA books. Yeah - the less review books - the less pressure!
DeleteI see in the pic you have "Everything Everything." I just picked this up at Target yesterday. It sounded like an interesting story. I'm not sure when I'll get to it though.
ReplyDeleteI've read it too. I liked it a lot - hope you do too.
