September was my busiest reading month to date with 24 books read(130 total for 2015 so far). There were a few DNF’s, which I’m finally allowing myself to do, but overall a good month!
The first time in a long time I did not finish a book, like yourself I'm learning this is ok. Looks like September was a great month reading wise for you, here's hoping October is as productive.
Yeah - I'm getting better about it too. You shouldn't torture yourself with something you aren't enjoying. It's so hard for me though - I want to know the end anyway lol
I'm sorry you couldn't even finish TTSAO, since I remember you being in love with This Song Will Save Your Life - on the other hand, this one sounds like a minor variation of it in some respect, and the idea at its core (which is basically to stalk a blogger) is awkward, to say the least.
The writing is totally different and it seemed like a mid-grade novel (even thought he character was older). I didn't' even make it to the blog stalking lol
I'm curious what you thought about Craving's Creek. I really liked it - different in some ways than I thought, but it worked well. I have Rebound Remedy to read sometime soon!
I can read fast - 1 book per day but 24 is high for me. I average around 15 per month. I was on a roll in September lol But now I feel a little burned out.
Welcome to the random ramblings of a reader, amature baker, & inflexible yogi. I'm a lover of good food, TV, music & all things nature. My favorite thing is being dog mom to @Ripley_kai_yay
Good month :)

DeleteI love the Halloween theme Karen! And excellent job with all the LGBTQ picks, I need to be more like you!
ReplyDeleteIs Please Remain Calm a novella? I haven't finished This is Not a Test yet. Maybe I'll do that this month.
It is a novella - you need to read TINaT first though.
Delete24? Wow that's awesome!
ReplyDelete!!! What's even better was that I didn't feel pressured - I was just having fun reading.
DeleteThat's the best kind of reading :)
DeleteGreat genre shuffling there. I might have missed it, but did you like Avery Aster's?
ReplyDeleteI didn't review it (except for a short thing on GR's
DeleteI didn't really like the writing style but if you've read and enjoyed her other books I'm sure you would like this one.

I actually bought it by accident. I thought it was a different m/m priest book that everyone was talking about. lol
DeleteI liked it overall with a few minor quibbles.
Rebound Remedy was cute. It's on Netgalley.
Great progress for the month!
