the tbr pile and #bookmail

I finished off my February TBR pile that I posted about so I decided to try that method again and see if it helps hold me feet to the reading fire.

February’s reads didn’t really make a dent in my 140 existing pile because they were Netgalley books I had requested instead of READING WHAT I ALREADY HAVE.

But March’s books were selected with the intent to clear out my shelves. *fingers crossed*

Wrecked by Maria Padin – about a campus rape told from different pov’s

Queens of Geek by Jen Wilde – another addition to the wildly popular geek trend with LGBQT
characters

Sad Perfect by Stephanie Elliot – a girl’s struggle with Avoidant/Restrictive Intake Disorder and her road to recovery

The Valiant by Lesley Livingston “Princess, Captive. Gladiator.” yes, please!

                                                                     ***

And…I got some nice book mail, that isn’t at all helpful to me knocking down the TBR pile lol

Moxie by Jennifer Mathieu“An unlikely teenager starts a feminist revolution at a small-town Texan high school”

Alex & Eliza by Melissa de la Cruz “the love story of young Alexander Hamilton and Eliza Schuyler”

The Black Witch by Laurie Forest – “A Great Winged One will soon arise and cast his fearsome shadow upon the land. And just as Night slays Day, and Day slays Night, so also shall another Black Witch rise to meet him, her powers vast beyond imagining.”

What's on your March reading list? Does anything here grab your attention - or have you read  any of them yet?

  1. Ooh, Queens of Geek is one of my most anticipated reads as well, it's an Aussie YA title which has me super excited! I'm really interested to see what you think of Wrecked Karen, I always appreciate books that cover the issues of sexual assault and consent, such important reads for mature YA and NA readers. Wonderful haul and thanks for sharing <3

    1. I didn't know that was an Aussie title! I'm reading that one first and I can't wait. There have been so many great geek-centric ya novels lately.

Moxie sounds good. Sad Perfect has been stirring some controversy. Looking forward to your opinions!

    1. 4 for now... The others are unsolicited book mail that I'll (hopefully) get to later.

I didn't realize about Sad Perfect until I started reading some reviews yesterday.

  5. I've only heard pretty angry things about Sad Perfect, I don't think I could handle reading it myself. You'll rock this TBR, I'm sure!

  10. It's nice to know other people struggle with their tbr piles! Wreck sounds like an emotional and interesting read. I find books that tell a stories from multiple viewpoints so intriguing. Good luck tackling the pile!

  11. I don't think I'll EVER conquer it. I've gotten so used to multiple pov's that I prefer them now.

  13. I have heard about Wrecked, and I always find those set ups interesting and seeing how different people react to trauma like rape. Especially since it happens so much so I do like it when authors use that spin. Hope you enjoy all of these.

  14. Shineys always make my list longer. :) I'll never read all those on my tbr... especially if I look at all the ebooks I've gotten. *sigh* Good problem to have though! :D
