A Christmas Zombie Musical!
ANNA AND THE APOCALYPSE
This looks hilarious and early reviews call it a cross between Shaun of the Dead and Glee.
2.
Ms. Marvel, Vol. 1: No Normal
I’m trying to use more of my Amazon Prime benefits and read graphic novels – Ms. marvel is on Kindle Unlimited so two birds – one stone and all that.

Welcome back!
One my fave blogger peeps, previously known from her blog, Books, Sweets & Other Treats, had taken some time off to do the whole family thing and is back with an all new blog called:
“Do You Dog-ear?”
Catchy – right? L and I had a lot of fun times navigating ALA, BEA (a few times). L is of the person from the now infamous BEA biting incident lol
Missed you and glad to have you back L! 💖

More book-ish progress
I cleared out my physical arc's - still not caught up on the reviews though for them though - but I achieved another milestone.
0 books to to review on Netgalley!
Now, my big challenge is still that physical TBR pile. I. Can. Do. It!

Sir Sly – Run
Have to sneak in a little music for your weekend….
ICYMI this week on the blog:
Happy TGIF!
What should I be reading, watching, listening to this weekend?
Oh my gosh that zombie musical looks too funny, haha. I'm so impressed that you've read ALL your ARCs! I have a few on NG right now, and I have about 15 total, but it never really goes below that lol. Like, I just get more as I read them.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't it??
DeleteI'm sure I'll have more arc's at some point but I'm trying to keep it manageable from now on. It's really my older books that I'm having a problem with right now. I'd like to be down to about 50 (from around 130 right now).
I wanted to check L's blog out, but you didn't provide a link for it, you lazy girl ;P - and googling for it only resulted in links about dog health ;D.
ReplyDeleteQuote:
"the now infamous BEA biting incident".
O_O ????? I want to know ALL about it LOL.
Oops, the link must have broke. I fixed it.
DeleteMaybe she'll indulge us with the story lol I thought everyone who has been around for awhile knew it at this point.
Hahaha If you would like to hear the story, I would be happy to tell it. :)

DeleteI have never even thought about using my Prime to read graphic novels. I need to do that!!
ReplyDeleteI had never noticed them before tbh but since I wanted to give them a try it's a nice surprise. Better than spending money if you end up not liking them.
DeleteThey also have magazines which is great. You can read them then send them back! No big pile of magazines you'll never read again lol
Ms Marvel looks really good Karen. "Do You Dog-ear?", now that's one catchy blog name indeed (and I just checked it out *wink)
ReplyDeleteVanessa @ Blushing Geek
I think I'm going to try Ms. Marvel today. It should be a quick read anyway. Still testing out those graphic novels. I'm not quite used to them yet lol

DeleteLove your festive blog header! "Do You Dog-ear" is very catchy! I like it.
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous that you have cleared all your Netgalley reviews! I'm so behind. I also have books just sitting there from a couple years back that I think I'll get to someday. I should just clear them out. Say sorry to the publisher for never getting to them and be done with it! I'm so torn about doing that, though.
Thank you!
DeleteI've had Netgalley under control for a few years. I only allow myself two books at time but I still had a bit of a backlog.
I hate that my ratio is still 89% because of years ago though. One of the publishers used to auto load books on there whether you requested them or not so if you don't read them it counts against you :-(
it drives me nuts because I've reviewed every single book I've ever requested.

DeleteOMG I NEED TO SEE ANNA AND THE APOCALYPSE! Your friends new blog---I love the name! I'll have to go check it out. :D
ReplyDeleteDoesn't it look fantasticly weird?!
DeleteThanks for checking out her blog :-)) She reviews a variety of genres and GN's

Deletewow amazing for netgalley. so not even there yet :( Yes that anna and the apocalypse looks so good :)
ReplyDeleteI would think you would be caught up. You aren't blogging lol
DeleteI would be but I admit that I still get books from there and total mood reader :) No but I love reading books off my kindle more . I should go there and review some more lol
DeleteWhaaaaat?! You are a NetGalley rockstar!!! I don't think I'll ever really catch up. haha! I'm still working on getting my ratio up again. And thanks for the heads up about Ms. Marvel on KU! I just added it to my TBR...now as soon as I finish one of my 10 books I ALREADY have on KU I can read it. lol!
ReplyDeleteMy ratio is 90% and it pisses me off because I've reviewed every single book I've ever requested but years ago one of the publishers used to auto load books into your account whether you asked for them or not. So when I didn't read and review them I got hit.
Delete90 is good but it should be 100 damn it! lol
You are my hero with review copies! That is amazing and I am working to get there. I honestly haven't been requesting many/being approved for many either so I am getting the # down. It feels good too!! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteIt's taken me years to get to this point. I've worked on one book/blog related issue per year.
DeleteI'm hoping having things better under control will making blogging (and reading!) more fun again.
I heard BEA could get a little rough, but geez biting?? lol just kidding. Still sounds like a good story there?? And wow nice with Netgalley!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt happened! My husband also saw a girl pushed head first down onto the floor.
DeleteIt got wild there for a while! They are much better organized now and I think a lot of that element has gone away - thankfully!
I know, right? Biting! I thought about getting a tattoo of teeth on my arm where I was bitten, but never did.
DeleteI typed up the story and published it today. People seemed genuinely interested, lol. Happy reading. :)
DeleteWohoo again for no NG books :D
ReplyDeleteI was always so bad about reviewing books on NG. I'll be better this time around. However, I'm going to finish my physical TBR pile first. I only have one more shelf to go! I haven't been acquiring anything new, so this time I've promised myself to be diligent and not let things get out of control. :) *fingers crossed*
ReplyDeleteThat physical shelf is what's doing me in! It's been YEARS int he making. I still have 2011 BEA books. *hangs head in shame*
DeleteThank you for thinking of me! I had no idea you were going to be mentioning me on your blog. I was reading through your post and did a double take, lol.
ReplyDeleteMs. Marvel!! I've been wanting to read her comic, so you'll have to let me know if the graphic novel is good. :)
*big, squishy hugs*
:-)
DeleteI really liked Ms. Marvel I have a review coming up but I've already downloaded volume 2. It's on KU and Prime if you have either of those.
I'm trying to read all the books on my Kindle that I have before getting more. I've reviewed a few books on NG but I don't much anymore.
ReplyDeleteI'm really good about Netgalley now. this was just some cleaning house I needed to do from long ago.
DeleteKindle one-clicks are my HUGE weakness! lol
Is that musical a movie, or a show? I still need to watch but it looks great! :)
ReplyDeleteI read the first couple Ms. Marvel collections - it's fun! I need to continue. I haven't read as many graphic novels lately so I need to get caught up on some. :)
Great job on getting through review copies. My physical ones are MOSTLY for this month, so I'll be down a lot after October - and I try not to request too much on Netgalley. I'm mostly on top of it!

It's a movie coming out at Christmas time.
DeleteJust went to your friend's blog and yes it's awesome! She's done awesome things. Her graphics are beautiful. Anyway, good luck with the ARCs. I have lots of books I haven't read yet and don't know which one to start while I add new ones every day. So frustrating but we're just human right? 😉
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you took the time to stop by her blog. I'm so happy to have her back!
DeleteI struggle with it too. I've made a lot of headway and there are months I don't buy anything new and then go one-click crazy lol
Yay you're done with NG! I've got 3 books left on NetGalley and 1 on Edelweiss, hopefully will be done with them before I get approved for another one.
ReplyDeleteMy current policy is to only request 2 at a time but I did have a bit of a backlog. My whole goal is to practice *no pressure blogging* lol
DeleteOooh, congrats on reading and reviewing all of your books on NetGalley!
ReplyDeleteHS Musical with zombies? LOL Okay that looks like something I would totally enjoy. Good tunes! Also love the new blog title and I don't think I've ever "met" L. I'll check it out!
ReplyDeleteUhm, I'm totally feeling that high school zombie movie. YES! Totally not my thing typically (I mean, is that anyone's thing?! LOL) but I can see it being a very enjoyable holiday movie :)
ReplyDeleteI love this song! Thanks for sharing :) And go you for tackling your NetGalley list!
