I’m joining in The Blended Blog’s April- Spring TBB Asks. I love this tag!
1. What 3 colors remind you most of Spring?
Pastels – usually green, pink, blue.
2. What is the first thing you’d add to your wardrobe in Spring?
Shorts. It’s FL so we head right to hot weather, but I love that I still get to wear sweaters once in awhile this time of year.
3. What is the first wardrobe item you ditch in Spring?
I guess my winter coat and scarf but again…I’m in FL so we don’t do full wardrobe changes.
4. Who mows the grass where you live?
Kevin and I – we swap, depending whose allergies are worse lol
5. What’s Spring like where you live?
Unless you love here it seems like nothing changes. It’s not as dramatic as other parts of the country but we start to have less extremes in temperature – bad thunder storms as the cold and warm fronts clash. Everything is bright green from the new leaves emerging (while the last of the dead live oak leaves fall), baby birds are tweeting and the butterflies start coming back.
6. What’s your favorite thing about Spring?
The animals returning to my yard (minus the evil crows who kill the baby animals and try to leave them in my bird bath – DISGUSTING), the perfect daytime temps (70’s) combined with cool nights.
7. Are you a Spring Cleaner?
Sort of? I did just do a big closet cleaning but it had less to do with spring than I get in these overhaul/purge moods.
8. Are you a Baseball Fan?
Nope. I’m not into nay sports really.
9. Tulips or Daffodils?
Anything. I love flowers and plants and nature!
10. Favorite Outdoor Spring Activity?
The farmer’s market, hiking with Kevin and Fonzi. This is usually my last outdoor hurrah before the heat and humidity sets in and I become an indoor hermit until winter.
Look at my adorable, happy spring kitty. He’s thrilled with his Easter finery – can’t you tell lol
Happy Spring everyone!!!
LOL kitty. So funny. Ooch on the allergies and mowing but nice yall take turns :)
ReplyDeleteWe have a riding mower but it's a pretty big yard and all the dust up bothers our allergies.
DeleteI feel like Texas skips spring and goes straight to summer. The nights are cooler, which is nice, but it's already getting too hot for my girls during the day.
ReplyDeleteI'm a BIG spring cleaner, but I also tend to go through everything once a month and get rid of what we don't need or use. Aspiring Minimalist! Haha!
We're growing a garden for the first time this year. It's been fun so far, and W loves the added responsibility. He has certain things he's supposed to water and check on. We even built a scarecrow with old baby clothes. It's definitely creepy, lol.
Do You Dog-ear?
Same here. It's already getting too warm during the day.
DeleteI'm more of the minimalist in our house. I don't like having a lot of things but Kevin is one of those - just in case we need it people lol
You'll need to post garden pics! I'm not really successful with gardens other than my winter greens but I have a pretty good butterfly garden going.
Definitely pastels! And psh, I never take shorts out of my wardrobe ;-P But you have crows that kill other baby animals??? That's terrible!
ReplyDeleteWe do get quite a few cold snaps up here so I switch between jeans and shorts most of the winter.
DeleteYes, the crows are gross! They bring bones, body parts/organs, dead baby animals like turtles to clean in my bird bath. I don't even have it up this year because I can't handle it.
Plus my dogs end up finding the bones so I constantly have to watch for that.
No shorts here, more like between coats, spring coats :)
ReplyDeletelol You stay wintery for a long time!
DeleteI love this tag too. Pastels definitely remind me of spring.
ReplyDeleteMe too. I was excited for April's because the March make-up one wasn't for me lol
DeleteSpring is one of my favorite seasons. I love this tag and learning more about you. I love your color choices. We're just one off from each other. I'd choose purple, green, and blue, all pastels. Your kitty is so cute! He definitely looks thrilled to be participating in your picture, lol.
ReplyDeleteI had a hard time with the colors but it said only 3 lol Poor Figgy lol
DeleteFigment is such a typical cat. I just love him :)
ReplyDeleteHe's so grumpy and whiny. I've had 4 other cats but none like him lol
DeleteYou're lucky.
ReplyDeleteWe are currently at -4 C. *sobs*
You can laugh at me when I'm broiling in the summer. lol
Delete70's during the day and cool nights are my idea of weather perfection lol. Oh and guess what? It snowed here last night!
ReplyDeleteIt is! I wish it lasted longer. we're already getting mid to upper 80 degree days. But at least no snow *shudders*
Deleteomg kitty looks so cute hahaha I love it
ReplyDeletePoor guy. He has a very tough life lol
DeleteFun post and I love your kitty!! Adorable!
ReplyDeleteOh, I could use really mild days and cool nights. When it gets super hot - especially with the humidity - that's the worst and I need a pool or something if I'm going to be outside. hah

That perfect spring weather usually lasts 2 weeks tops lol We go straight to sauna type weather lol
DeleteYour kitty is so pretty! I love his Easter look ;)
ReplyDeleteHe disagrees but thank you lol
DeleteEeep I have a unicorn headband super similar to your kitty's! ;) And I adore all kinds of flowers, too. ♥
ReplyDelete- Aimee @ Aimee, Always
I like to keep my pets current with their style lol
DeleteWe don't have Spring here but I sure do love to experience one especially seeing cherry blossoms in Japan <3 And aww, Fonzi being so cute again :)
ReplyDeleteWe have those in Washington DC. I'd love to go see them one day. I LOVE flowers.
DeleteYour kitty and the unicorn headband is adorable!!
ReplyDeleteOh my god, the crows there are vicious. We live in an urban rural area here and have crows hanging around often and have never seen them bother or swoop other birds even. We have a property full of wild birds, wagtails and magpies, a resident falcon that's super nasty and a cranky owl that swoops me when I'm gardening. I don't even know what season it is, must be Autumn here if the US is heading into spring I think. I've got a mind like a sieve lately.
ReplyDeleteI leave the grass cutting to the professor. I hate it and it makes me sneeze. :)
