tell me something tuesday

Tell Me Something Tuesday is hosted by Rainy Day Ramblings and discusses a wide range of topics from books to blogging.

Question: What are your Summer 2018 picks?

Answer:

I’m still trudging through my TBR pile.

I’m not complaining! - but I’ve been getting several unsolicited review copies in the mail. It's an eclectic mix (historical, contemporary, thriller, rom com) and they sound pretty good.

Below is a combination of those - Unsolicited from the publisher: ( The Game of Hope, Lies You Never Told Me, Save the Date) & from Macmillan's summer ARC package: (Summer Skin, Love Scene, Take Two & The Handsome Girl & Her Neanderthal Boy)

  1. Save the Date! I'm excited for that one. Morgan Matson is the best. Lies You Never Told Me is one I think I need to check out.

    1. Really??!!! I would recommend Amy & Roger's Epic Adventure. It's my favorite. And I would splurge for a physical copy because there are lists/playlists. Super cute.

  3. I haven't heard of any of these (books or authors). Hope they're good ones!

I haven't given a thought to what I'm going to be reading this summer. I should make a list... Although, it's safe to add Iron and Magic and Magic Triumphs by Ilona Andrews seeing as I'll be inhaling those the second they hit my kindle! :) I'll probably finish off the Chicagoland Vampires too.

    1. I need to catch up on the Kate books. At least I can read them together.

I'm a huge mood reader so I have no idea if this is what I'll end up reading lol

  4. I don't really have a summer reading list. I'll just read whatever. I'm a mood reader and read whatever I'm in the mood for.

    1. Same. These are the ones the pubs sent me and are out so I would like to get to them first but I have to be in the mood.

  8. I have so many. I'm doing two reading challenges and a personal challenge so my list for summer is about 150 books.

I really want to enjoy a thriller but they don't always work out for me. I have heard good things about this one though so fingers crossed.

  11. Love Scene, Take Two was ridiculously cute! I got a little frustrated with Bennett a few times because she could run hot and cold with Teddy (poor guy) but overall it was so adorably fun. :)

    1. Ha! Yes, my newish plant collection. I'm trying to pick things that are non toxic tot he pets in case leaves fall or Figment all of sudden starts climbing things. Fonzi climbed on my table, knocked over & ate a vase of Lilies once that required an ER visit.

  18. I've just finished Save The Date and my goodness, such a long read but super, super cute! I love Morgan Matson books, they're always feel great reads with wonderful family dynamics and there's even a cameo from previous characters which I was thrilled to see. Such a magnificent list Karen! I'm preparing for winter here which is when I tend to read all those summer reads, living vicariously through the American summer ♥♥♥
