Question: What are your Summer 2018 picks?
Answer:
I’m still trudging through my TBR pile.
I’m not complaining! - but I’ve been getting several unsolicited review copies in the mail. It's an eclectic mix (historical, contemporary, thriller, rom com) and they sound pretty good.
Below is a combination of those - Unsolicited from the publisher: ( The Game of Hope, Lies You Never Told Me, Save the Date) & from Macmillan's summer ARC package: (Summer Skin, Love Scene, Take Two & The Handsome Girl & Her Neanderthal Boy)

What is on your summer reading list?
Save the Date! I'm excited for that one. Morgan Matson is the best. Lies You Never Told Me is one I think I need to check out.
ReplyDeleteI have a few friends that loved Lies and I hope Save the Date is super cute!
DeleteI've never read a Morgan Matson book, but I've always heard great things about them! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteReally??!!! I would recommend Amy & Roger's Epic Adventure. It's my favorite. And I would splurge for a physical copy because there are lists/playlists. Super cute.
DeleteI haven't heard of any of these (books or authors). Hope they're good ones!
ReplyDeleteI haven't given a thought to what I'm going to be reading this summer. I should make a list... Although, it's safe to add Iron and Magic and Magic Triumphs by Ilona Andrews seeing as I'll be inhaling those the second they hit my kindle! :) I'll probably finish off the Chicagoland Vampires too.
I need to catch up on the Kate books. At least I can read them together.
DeleteI'm a huge mood reader so I have no idea if this is what I'll end up reading lol
I don't really have a summer reading list. I'll just read whatever. I'm a mood reader and read whatever I'm in the mood for.
ReplyDeleteSame. These are the ones the pubs sent me and are out so I would like to get to them first but I have to be in the mood.
DeleteI've been seeing Save the Date everywhere and it looks absolutely adorable! The cover makes it seem like the epitome of a summer read. Hope you enjoy it, Karen!
ReplyDeleteIt does look fun! It's exactly what I feel like reading too so I hope it's as good as it looks.
DeleteKeep trudging through those! I hope to get my own books too
ReplyDeleteI think I can....I think I can....lol
DeleteI went and got myself into ARC trouble so I'll be reading those when I should be digging into my tbr pile. Ugh, I need some willpower.
ReplyDeleteOh no!!!! lol
DeleteI did request two books on Netgalley but I never got a response. So I guess they are saving me from myself lol
I have so many. I'm doing two reading challenges and a personal challenge so my list for summer is about 150 books.
ReplyDeleteEeep! Good luck!
DeleteI'm still trying to get through the books on my kindle. I haven't bought anything new in a while.
ReplyDeleteI got that under control a while ago but I did go on a pre-order bender last week. I will be having regrets soon lol
DeleteLies You Never Told Me might be my next one. For some reason that one appeals to me.
ReplyDeleteI thought that would be the one that appealed to you lol
DeleteI really want to enjoy a thriller but they don't always work out for me. I have heard good things about this one though so fingers crossed.
Love Scene, Take Two was ridiculously cute! I got a little frustrated with Bennett a few times because she could run hot and cold with Teddy (poor guy) but overall it was so adorably fun. :)
ReplyDeleteI NEEEEED ridiculously cute!
DeleteI hope so! I've been kind of disappointed in the books I've been reading lately.
ReplyDeleteI hope you end up enjoying all of these! I hear good things about Save the Date. I need to read more Matson.

It does sound cute!
DeleteRead Amy & Roger's Epic Adventure! I think you would love it Lauren. Road trip/music/food/lists!!
Those are all new to me, hope you wind up loving them :D
ReplyDeleteThanks Lily!
DeleteLies You Never Told Me looks really good! I hope you love all of these!
ReplyDeleteThat's the one I'm looking forward to too (& Save the Date). Several of my friends liked it.
DeleteYou lucky duck! I wish I got a random copy of The Handsome Girl and Her Beautiful Boy. That's been on my radar for months.
ReplyDeletePS. I love your photo! It's super cute and I love the nerve plants. They always catch my eye when I see them in stores. <3
Ha! Yes, my newish plant collection. I'm trying to pick things that are non toxic tot he pets in case leaves fall or Figment all of sudden starts climbing things. Fonzi climbed on my table, knocked over & ate a vase of Lilies once that required an ER visit.
DeleteI just read a couple of positive reviews for Save the Date so I guess I'm the most excited for that one out of your list, but Lies You Never Told Me looks good too! Hope you enjoy them all!
ReplyDeleteIt's an eclectic mix! I should find something good in there :-)
DeleteI've just finished Save The Date and my goodness, such a long read but super, super cute! I love Morgan Matson books, they're always feel great reads with wonderful family dynamics and there's even a cameo from previous characters which I was thrilled to see. Such a magnificent list Karen! I'm preparing for winter here which is when I tend to read all those summer reads, living vicariously through the American summer ♥♥♥
ReplyDeleteI haven't read one of her books in a few years so I'm really looking forward to reading this one.
DeleteThe Game of Hope sounds really good. I might like Lies You Never Told Me too.
ReplyDeleteThey are both from genres I don't usually read but sound very good.
DeleteOo hope they turn out to be good ones! I'm doing a no reading list kind of thing lately and it's working for me :)
ReplyDeleteI rarely stick to these *goals* lol I'm a mood reader but this is my last pile of books pubs sent me (unsolicited) so I'm hoping to clear them out before I head to ALA.
DeleteOoo tell me more about Lies You Never Told Me!
ReplyDeleteEveryone really loves it so I hope it works for me. Thrillers are kind of iffy
DeleteThe Handsome Girl & Beautiful Boy sounds great. I have a lot of thrillers on my summer TBR
ReplyDeleteTori @ In Tori Lex
I read that over the weekend and it's one of the strangest books I've read in a long time lol but I ended up liking it.
