I spent Sunday morning driving around my park taking pictures of squirrel bridges for my much anticipated Squirrel Fest post! It will break the internet! lol
Okay – so maybe it’s not all that anticipated but it will, most likely, make you laugh, so there’s that. I hope to have that up this week as well as a few more doggie themed book reviews for the last week of the #DDoS reading challenge.
You will also be happy to know that I did not get locked in anymore bathrooms over the weekend! And the one public restroom I did use had only ONE lock - as God intended lol
For now, Here’s my reading update.Reading:
Dine with Me by Layla Rayne (for review)
Traitorous Toys (Cozy Corgi Mysteries #2) by Mildred Abbott (for the #DDoS challenge)
Read:
One Day to Fall by Therese Beharrie – 4 stars
Puppy Love (Forever Home #1) by Lucy Gilmore – review coming this week
The Right Swipe (Modern Love #1) by Alisha Rai – DNF review
Netgalley Approval:
American Love Story (Dreamers #3) by Adriana Herrera – One of my favorite series right – super excited to start this one!
Amazon Vine:
I received The Revolution of Birdie Randolph by Brandy Colbert, this super cute Wind Wind Took shoulder backback, and The Music of What Happens by Bill Konigsberg for review.
Reading Challenge: I hit my 50 books read goal so I upped it to 80 and I’m moving along. I should hit it (& maybe even raise it again).
2019 Reading Challenge
Karen has
read 63 books toward
her goal of
80 books.
What are you reading/watching this week?
Congrats on superseding your challenge go! It won’t be long til you have to up it again it seems.
ReplyDeleteI usually read about 150 books per year but I had to move cross country in March - that threw me totally out of my reading groove. I wasn't sure what I would be able to do this year. But I'm back on track and guessing it will be around 100
DeleteCongrats on NOT getting locked into another bathroom! and yay for single locks LOL.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to squirrel galore! 😉
I research the bathroom door thoroughly before locking now. And bring my phone lol
DeleteWell done on reaching your challenge total! i love the squirrels in our garden-they're all named-so I look forward to your post!
ReplyDeletePeople love their squirrels at our park lol
DeleteI am really invested in this squirrel fest. In my household they're known as "majestic fluff jumps."
ReplyDeleteI LOVE THAT!
DeleteThis squirrel fest... I'm here for it. OMG You DNF'd The Right Swipe?!!! *goes to read your review*
ReplyDeleteGenesis @ Whispering Chapters
It's hilarious - and a REALLY big deal out here lol
DeleteOhh I enjoyed The Music of What Happens so I hope you will, too. I love that you'll be having a Squirrel Fest on your blog. Lol. Looking forward to reading that.
ReplyDeleteSomeone has to do it Joy lol
DeleteI am so excited to see your Squirrel Fest post. I own a copy of The Music of What Happens and I really need to read that soon.

I might do the audio too. It's on Hoopla.
DeleteI am so much looking forward to your squirrel post :)
ReplyDeleteNow I feel pressured to make it good lol
DeleteOoops that up there was me. Google is fighting with me today.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the squirrel post. They are so cute.
ReplyDeleteWe actually have more geese and ducks than squirrels that I can tell but it's fun lol
DeleteUpped to 80, yes you can do it!
ReplyDeleteI think I can! In the back of my mind - my goal is 100 but I'm trying not to get ahead of myself lol
DeleteGet that Goodreads challenge! I am sad you didn't like The Right Swipe. I liked it. I especially loved the hero. I thought the Puppy Love book was cute. Fun premise with the sisters and the dogs, and I was intrigued by the whole diabetes smelling puppy thing.
ReplyDeleteI know! *cries* I had such a hard time with the heroine still being angry after knowing why he ghosted her. I was also listening to it and some romance just doesn't work for me on audio. I might switch to print and finish it.
DeleteSquirrel bridges. I officially can't wait for this Squirrel Fest post now- I'm SO curious lol.
ReplyDeleteI'm probably overselling this post lol
DeleteI have no idea what a squirrel bridge is but I'm absolutely here for it Karen.
ReplyDeletePrepare to be educated on squirrel bridges!!! lol
DeleteThank you so much for doing #DDOS reading! 🐾✨
ReplyDeleteThe cover for The Revolution of Birdie Randolf is AMAZING! I will have to go over to Goodreads right now and check it out. 😃
I had so much fun doing it! I'll be better prepared for next year.
DeleteI can't wait to dive into the next American Dreamer book as well. I am trying to wait a little so I can review closer to the review date though DD:
ReplyDeleteI really liked it Olivia! It was a little different than the precious two - more intense.
DeleteSquirrel Fest post? Okay... I'll bite. Show me the squirrels! :)
ReplyDeleteI've seen lots of people swiping left on The Right Swipe so think I'll pass on that one too!
I have only read amazing reviews for Right Swipe so I'm glad to hear I wasn't alone.
