I’m juggling several books right now (Daisy Jones & the Six, Voting Booth on audio and Here to Stay e-arc) so until I actually finish something to review, here’s more music!
How about a few fun pandemic themed songs? 🤣
Royal & the Serpent – OVERWHELMED
Theory of a Deadman - THE WORLD KEEPS SPINNING
What do you think? Any music recommendations for me?
Also...don't hate me but I...like the new blogger. I had tried it months ago and hated it but the seem to have resolved the issues I had back then. there is a bit of a learning curve because things aren't quite as easy to find - but for how I blog, it's nicer.
I like the girl's voice in the first song. Kind of reminds me of Sixpence None the Richer.
ReplyDeleteI'm still getting used to the new Blogger. I don't hate it but I'm still ironing out some formatting hiccups. It's coming along. I just tend to resist all change. LOL
I hate change too!!! Please keep everything the same forever. Please and thank you lol
DeleteI had problems with so many of the functions now being in a drop down menu rather than right there in front of me. But now that I've used it a few time sit seems cleaner and more user friendly.
I remember trying it months ago and it was a mess so I guess I'm just happy it makes more sense now.
I hope one of those books works out for you. I saw an update from you for Daisy which was encouraging.
ReplyDeleteI'm liking them all! Just juggling 3 books at one time - with very little time to actually read lol - is interesting. Ha!
DeleteCool songs. I like that first one. And Daisy Jones is supposed t be pretty good I've heard. Sounds like a Fleetwood Mac/ 70's rock story almost haha. I should read it.
ReplyDeleteI'm sort of tentatively okay with the new Blogger too??
ALL I could think of while reading is Fleetwood Mac. I ended up Kokomo it up and that is what it was based on - a Lindsey Buckingham/Stevie Nick's performance.
DeleteI always liked the Stevie/ Lindsey combo. But then Christine McVie too. they had such a range of voices!
DeleteKokomo??? Lol I meant looking.
DeleteYeah, that whole band dynamic. That's all I thought of while reading. I think you should try Daisy on audio. Even though you can't do audio lol
It's very documentary style and more like a podcast than a book.
Yas, music :D
ReplyDeleteYpu like it! I hate new blogger, it is really buggy for me, I like it, but it is SO SLOW for me, it drives me up the wall
When I tried it months ago it was a mess but now it's working well for me.
DeleteI'm with you, new blogger isn't as bad as I thought it would be (I do really need to back up my blog though just in case things go pear shaped).
ReplyDeleteI guess people with more complex HTML are having problems but I blog pretty straightforward so no issues for me so far. *knocks on all the wood*
DeleteI've always liked Theory of a Deadman. I hate the new blogger interface. If you find a way for spam comments to go directly to a spam folder without having to manually send them there, let me know. I tried turning capchas on but it doesn't work for me.
ReplyDeleteI've had problems with their spam commenting system for months now but if I ever figure it out I'll let you know lol
DeleteI am glad to see that you are getting used to the new system on blogger...change can be challenging. I am getting used to the new change on WP. Hope you end up really loving it.
ReplyDeleteI tried an earlier (I guess beta) version and hated it but I'm liking the new update. It seems user friendly to me. Which is weird because I HATE change and I'm one of the few that seems to like this lol
DeleteUgh, pandemic. We have at least another five weeks of our hard lock down here and I imagine it'll be compulsory to wear masks for many months to come still. I've been listening to Damien Rice and Jeff Buckley a lot lately, just in the mood for gentle music.
ReplyDeleteI'm not liking the new Blogger, so reverted back to the old one again. I can't seem to use the new version on my phone, it runs off the page.
That's weird. The change was made to make it easier on mobile devices. I can't blog on my phone - ore even common/visit blogs lol
DeleteI wish we would just have one cohesive strategy here. It's just a patchwork of things that's enforced based on politics instead of science it seems.
Those shutdowns are hard mentally though. They slowly wear you down. Especially when it doesn't seem like it will ever end.
