Music: I Will Survive (hey hey!) & Astronaut in the Ocean

Since you all seemed to enjoy the older songs - I'm going to include one song from my weekly concerts in the park - which is almost always a cover band - and one new song that you will probably think is weird lol

So last week we saw 5 Guys Named Moe, a 12 piece dance band based in the PNW, Portland area and they play rock, motown, soul, r&b, disco and current top 40 hits. If you live out here and ever see them on the lineup GO! We've seen them twice and they're soooo good. 

Anyway - there was lots of old school music that brings me back to my disco days lol

Do you all remember this one? The ultimate post break up, sing it loud and angry with your friends song! A classic.

    I Will Survive is such an anthem. Brings me back to bar hopping in college and mixers.

      It's just that kind of song where everyone can relate at some point. Sing it in a large group and it's cathartic lol

    I LOVE Gloria Gaynor! My song from her repertoire would be "I Am What I Am" though.

    12 pieces and a horn? I'm not into cover bands, but this one sounds unique!

      They are truly an incredible band and I think they could make it doing original music too. No matter who you are, you end up tapping your feet or dancing. lol

      I loved Gloria Gaynor too.

    I just added that Astronaut song to my playlist last week! I heard Jeris Johnson on Tik Tok sing a cover for this song and loved it but he only did a bit of the song so I found a metal version and loved it.

    I love good cover bands. And 70's songs too- especially in the summer if that makes sense. lol The Gloria Gaynor is awesome

      I agree. It's funny negate even little kids jump right into the 70's music. It's very catchy.

      The workouts are kind of dancy (she has regular ones too) and I can't keep up at all but they're fun to squeeze a quick cardio session in.
