I skipped the past two outdoor concerts because 93 degrees is too hella hot to sit outside in the sun to watch a cover band, Sorry bands but... lol
So here's a cover that Kevin found from the Foo Fighters. I think it's pretty awesome.
Upon further investigation (& something you all probably know already lol), I found that they released a full length album on National Record Store Day in July - as the Dee Gees - that includes 4 Bee Gee covers, Andy Gibbs Shadow Dancing and five live versions of songs from their last album Medicine at Midnight.
What do you think of this version? 👍 ?👎 ?
It's pretty true to the original. I am impressed that Grohl could get that high.
ReplyDeleteMe too!! I was kind of shocked by how good it was lol
DeleteI love this!
ReplyDeleteFun right?!
DeleteThat is a bit too hot yes
ReplyDeleteAnd this week will be even hotter. 100's again :-(
DeleteWOW! I cannot believe that is Grohl singing that high. That is fun! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteIknow My husband told me to listen and I was like...nah I was shocked lol
DeleteI just love this one so much!!! so fun.
ReplyDeleteIt is!
DeleteI've always liked the Foo Fighters. The lead singer, David Grohl used to be the drummer for Nirvana. They did a great job on this song.
ReplyDeleteI lived in Seattle in the 90's when they were just starting up. I want a in to music back then so I really missed out lol
DeleteI just saw this a couple weeks ago (I have no idea how recent/old it is) but I was blown away. It's like, really? The Foo Fighters decided to cover The Bee Gees? Never saw that coming. But such a great cover!
ReplyDeleteI was sure it would suck but I was wrong lol
DeleteI love them. My son is obsessed. He has framed pictures and posters of Dave Grohl everywhere. Even has f/f tattoo on his back.
ReplyDeleteThat's commitment lol
DeleteIsn't it amazing?! Grohl is the real Guitar Hero. Foo Fighters is my very first concert. So yeah, hugeeee fan
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! Prince was mine!
DeleteI love the Foo Fighters!! I was in stitches when I heard they'd covered a load of BeeGees songs but they've done them so well. Like you, I can't believe Dave Grohl can sing that high! But I really shouldn't be surprised... That dude really is talented.
ReplyDeleteThey did their traditional drive-by of Westboro Baptist Church when they picketed their recent concert by singing one of the covers on the back of a pick up truck... Not as fun as the video of them rick-rolling them but still awesome, lol.
