Question: What are 3 things you never get tired of doing?

Answer: I know you expect me to say reading but I DO get sick of reading lol so here are my 3 things that I never get tired of doing.

Drumroll please.....

1. Gardening - Gardening is my happy place. I love looking at, buying and planting flowers, weeding - the whole thing. It calms me.

2. Eating - I've always liked eating lol but, since moving to the PNW, I've taken it to new levels. There are just SO many wonderful places to eat out here!

Most are small, locally based, use seasonal & local ingredients - with owners that support each other and the local communities. It's so rare these days to be able to walk through a neighborhood and just find a local pizza spot or a wood fire pit down an alley way.

The variety is AMZING too. We have every type of food out here from Ethiopian, Sri Lankan, Indigenous, Greek, French, Italian, to Russian, all varieties of Asian and fusion - you name it - I bet we have it. Dozens of pizza and ice cream places - all with their own unique spin.

3. Hanging with my dogs - I'm a dog mom. It's, like, who I am. Part of my identity lol When I lost Fonzi a few years back and didn't have a dog for months I was completely lost. I hated going for walks. I felt like I had no reason to wake up. I would go to bed crazy early. I hated it. I need a dog in my life. They get me moving and out and about to enjoy life. Everything is better when I'm doing it with Kai & Ripley.

(Of course, Kevin gets an honorable mention here haha! I need him too 😂)

    1. It really is. It's also the only hobby I still have that I haven't turned into something monetized like job or an obligation like reviewing became - so it's still FUN for me.

I love my dog but I doubt I will adopt another one when Falcor is gone.

    1. We don't really have bugs out here which is so nice!

We are also on a low carb diet (Kevin) and low acid (me) so we do have to adjust or limit a lot of things.

We'll see how old I am after these two but I think I'll always have at least one pet.

  3. Oh... I should have put eating - that is 100% true. I love going to old favorites and trying new places. I love traveling and trying local cuisine. Eating is such a pleasure!

    1. Eating has been different out here - there are SO many outstanding local places that are doing interesting things and are hyper local about where they source/who they support.
It's almost a form of activism to eat out here.

  4. It's nice of you to mention Kevin at all LOLOLOL 😜.

Jokes aside...I'm a bit envious of all the eating places you have. - though I'm not one to try new ingredients, and I wouldn't be able to eat out at the moment anyway...

It sounds like you were pretty depressed when you lost Fonzi. I didn't realise at the time. I'm glad Kai and Ripley are so good for you. I would never be able to be a dog mom...I always joke that I love other people's dogs LOL. It would be too much work to actually have one...and I don't mean only now that I'm a caretaker for a grown human 😩.

    1. I try to be more adventurous - which despite my photos - does not come easy to me lol

Fonzi was really devastating for me, for a lot of reasons, but the goobers have helped me a lot.

I can never be without animals in some way but as we get older it's less and less. Like, I did not get another cat after Figment. And after these two, it will be one dog and probably older. I can't do another puppy lol

  5. Your pups are lucky to have you. I don't tire of eating food someone else prepared. My healthy diet leaves me miserable and not sad to miss meals.

  6. I never tire of eating or spending time with my furry friends! Haha, I wish I enjoyed gardening more than I do. I love the final product, but the actual work isn’t my cup of tea, especially in this Texas heat!

    1. It was a mixed bag when I lived in FL. I had a HUGE butterfly garden that I loved but the bugs were awful. Out here there aren't really any bugs or anything poisonous so that's been great!
