My Monday Musings….
I’ve been struggling so much to get back into my reading and blogging groove since the move but I think I’m finally getting there!
I read 6 books in April – which is super low for me (I usually read 12-ish) but fantastic since my 1 book a month since January lol
And they were all great reads!
May TBR
Here are my May arc’s plus a few holdovers that I had meant to read. As usual – I’m a mood reader so this is not necessarily what I will read but what’s coming out this month.
I’m listening Rayne & Delilah’s Midnite Matinee right now and audio and it’s …weird…but cute so far.
As for blogging – I think I might be picking up the pace. I hated the room my desk was in but we moved it out to the loft area where it’s bright and airy – and more importantly…not a room filled with boxes that I have yet to unpack – thereby stressing me out 🤣
I had so many post ideas but once I sit down I can barely motivate myself to do more than visit a few blogs. So we'll see how this week goes in my new digs.
What are you planning on reading this May?

I'm reading Somewhere Only We Know and I have Thoughts.
ReplyDeleteGah - I'e had issues with her books but also think they're cute so I was hoping this one would be different.
DeleteGood to know How Not To Ask a Boy To Prom was cut . I've been eyeing it. Great TBR! Hope you love them all!!
ReplyDeleteA little bit of a off beginning but super cute!
DeleteGlad to hear your reading mojo's coming back. :) And yeah sometimes a change of scenery is needed. I used to hate it when my computer was downstairs- once I moved it upstairs to a brighter area with a window it was much better. :)
ReplyDeleteThe other room just kept making me think of the mess and all the things I need (& can't because there's no room here) to do.
DeleteI am getting through my ever growing Netgalley books and I am listening to Helen Hoang's books because I just signed up for Audible Romance package.
ReplyDeleteI have a few Netgalley books to get through but they're June reads so I'm pushing them to the back burner for now lol
DeleteEnjoy Hoang's books! I read the first one so far.
I'm glad you had a nice reading month in April - hopefully May will be the same! I have a variety of May ARCs to read/review so we'll see how much I can get to. LOL I also have Hellhole by Gina Damico to read for my book club; it looks fun!

I'm reading the new Jenn Burke PNR story right now and I like it so far. I usually never get to the actual months arc's lol
DeleteLooks like you got to read some good books! I'm going out of town for the last part of May, so I'm trying to have a smaller TBR :(
ReplyDeleteI'm just happy I'm reading again!
Deletehave a nice vacation! (if that's what it is lol)
I need to read the new Zentner book. I've loved his other books. I'm glad to see you got some reading mojo back!!
ReplyDeleteI'm struggling with the audio version so I might have to switch tot eh ebook. This is the first I have read by him.
DeleteI just loved The Unhoneymooners. After recently reading My Favorite Half-Night Stand (meh) it was like Christina Lauren was back doing what they do best. I still haven’t picked up Becoming but I want to get to it soon.
ReplyDeleteYes, it way super cute! Way better than the Half-Night Stand.
DeleteI adored Zentner's book. The romance was adorable and the friendship was fantastic. A small part that occurred at the Con was a little too OTT for me, but otherwise, loved it!
ReplyDeleteThe audio isn't really working for me so I might switch to the ebook before giving up.

ReplyDeleteThe bright side is, you do visit! You're far better than me at it - though lately I was modem-less for 8 friggin' days, so I had a good excuse LOL. At work, I can't do much more than approve my own blog's comments and briefly reply to them (or write the odd tweet). Now I'm curious about your post ideas...so you better deliver 😜 😂.
I HAD PLANS! lol No, not really - just a few post ideas pre-move and when I got here I planned on blogging more about life than books but...so lazy lol
DeleteI plan to read Becoming when it comes out in paperback at some point. I'm finally getting over my reading slump and hope for a better summer of reading coming up! Hope your reading gets back in the groove fully!
ReplyDeleteI was on a 6 month wait from the library lol It was for the audio version but well worth it! Her narration made it even better.
DeleteYay for a room with no boxes ;=D
ReplyDeleteYeay for reading more!
ReplyDeleteThis month, all I'm trying to read is my 'Read A Series In A Month' series - Alex Craft/Grave Witch series by Kalanya Price.
The Unhoneymooners and Becoming are both ones that I would really to read that look great! I am glad you enjoyed your reads last month and I hope May goes well for you reading wise as well.
ReplyDeleteI am comment vomiting backwards, so yay, you did get back on the blogging train! 🙌🙌🙌
ReplyDeleteSorry about the comment spewing. Hopefully when I get caught up I can keep up. 😀
